Paying off

Smart Gilas has been beasting on the court recently. As of today, they’ve beaten some of the best (and roughest) teams in the Middle East in the Dubai International Basketball Tournament. Beating Fadi El Khatib‘s Al Riyadi (Lebanon) and Rasheem Wright‘s Zain (Jordan) clubs — remember, Team Pilipinas couldn’t catch up with these ballers in the Asiad — has been impressive, given the fact that this came off the heels of a very disappointing showing in the ongoing PBA Season. Hats off to the guys. I’m sure there’s still a lot left to be learned, but at least the improvements are showing. See guys, the bumps and hacks that you got from Wynne Arboleda paid off.
